Aglaonema Species The Aglaonemas are a group of low spreading bushy plants with large lance shaped leaves usually of different shades of green. They tolerate low light conditions but don't like too much water. They are prone to cold damage, slow growers, but easy to look after. They range from the short Dracaena massagneana tips to the large 20 ft. tall Marginata trees. They are relatively easy to look after but can exhibit stress if over watered. They are one of the more hardy group of plants and tolerate insect infestation and wide temperature fluxtuations. Examples include: Dracaena marginata (character form) Dracaena marginata (straight form) Dracaena massangeana Bush Form Dracaena massangeana Cane Form Spathiphyllum Species This group of low light tolerant plants is quite popular. Their characteristic white bracts (called Spathes) offer the option of having a flowering plant in a low light environment.
